Through this project, I was to produce a design proposal for a new community pleasure garden in Melbourne’s suburbs that consciously establishes a strong dialogue between architecture and landscape spaces.

The proposal should be designed to provide a spectrum of spaces and experiences for the community and will also need to provide a range of programs that span between the private or intimate to spaces that may accommodate larger public and communal activities.

REQUIRED PROGRAMS FOR THE PLEASURE GARDEN: 1- Small room pavilions (for short-term rental and/or working studio spaces); 2- Events pavilion (for small gatherings and events); 3- Service pavilion (kitchen, toilets, laundry); 4- A “community living-room” pavilion; 5- Experiential/pleasure garden(s); 6- Water feature(s); 7- Social/gathering spaces
